The Women's Movement, like many other movements, has challenged traditional modes of white/straight/male dominance in western culture, causing many deeply entrenched cheerleaders of the status quo to feel severely threatened by feminism. An interested movie to see that explores the "backlash" phenomenon (among other facets of archetypal masculenity) is a documentary called Tough Guise.
