Ran for Rights

Posted by Chris on 06/12/06 (Shite)

Ok, so my knees are fucked now. Thanks. Also thanks to everyone who has made pledges. We’re still taking them post-humously despite allegations that we only ran 8km rather than the stated 10km. Hey man, we just run where the arrows tell us to run. And yes, i did indeed power-walk a kilometer.

Derek actually barely made it up the stairs today. It made me feel less bad about myself.

    Did you guys remember to wear proper running shoes and to run in a heel-to-toe fashion? If not, that could explain your aches and pains.

    I don’t know, maybe my advice is common knowledge, but i never knew about it until I got shin splints and some whipper-snappers told me that it was probably due the fact that I had a flat-footed running style.

    Why, oh why, would anyone want to even *walk* that far?!

    I think a high-spirited picnic for rights would work just as well.

    I sincerely hope there were costumes involved.

    Having seen Derek run in the past, I can only imagine he finished the 10 kms in record time. His running style reminds me of a gazelle…..

    Dumdiddee..
    You were asking if we were wearing proper shoes for the run. I was wearing reasonalble shoes except they are old and the sole was being held on by a piece of duct tape. That didn’t slow me down, though I ran that sucker fast! My Mom was pissing me off telling me I couldn’t run 2 kilometers. so’s I had to give ‘er. thanks for the pledges, folks.. Oh ya. The night beofre the race i was outside my house all night watching half the neighborhoood burning to the ground. ashes were falling all over. Still i raced on the very next day!

    this one is for anyone at G7 or Prop;

    were you guys at least able to keep a fair distance ahead of a stinky, frightened and probably horny jordy samolesky?
