We’re too sexy for our shirts

It seemed like a good idea at the time: make shirts for our bands; make them with a local print shop, on ethically-produced textiles. Then we thought – make them on only 100% organic cotton t-shirts. Set an example, hope for a new, ethical standard for shirt production in the “punk” scene. Doesn’t sound so crazy I guess.

But here we are, after going through three different suppliers of organic cotton, union-made shirts, and a brief affair with the unbelievable dork that is American Apparel, and we are realizing that there is actually no reason for us to continue producing clothing for people. It’s kind of silly actually. People do a pretty good job of clothing themselves (present company excluded). Why are we adding to the heap of new product being shit into the world? To make a couple of bucks on each one of those turds? Sounds kinda dumb.

In celebration of this liberating decision – that is, the one to stop making t-shirts and hoodies altogether – they’re all going on sale. T-shirts are $15. Hoodies are $25. Until they are all gone, at which point we will set up a street hockey net in the back room. Rad!

Included in this sale are the leftovers from the shirts the PROPAGANDHI boys made for their last tour, featuring a detail of the incredible Sue Coe painting featured in Potemkin City Limits. Check ‘em here.
