New books abound in ye olde e-store

Hey folks … in case you haven’t noticed … which I don’t think you have … we’ve recently added a gaggle of books to the store. Some of which we have leftover after the recent Propagandhi tour, some of which we ordered for the tour but never received until we got home. Our poor planning is your gain. We may not be as cheap as Amazon (who is?), but do you get photos Chris shitting into an envelope when you order from Amazon? No. Didn’t think so. Will you get said photos from G7 when you order one of these books? Of course not! That’s disgusting. You’re a fucking deviant. Now on to the books.

Continuing on the Chris Hedges theme, we now offer you two other thoughtful, compelling, incredibly scary books from the man: American Fascists - The Christian Right and the War On America, and Losing Moses on the Freeway: The 10 Commandments in America.

Next up are two books that Todd of ye olde Propagandhi cannot seem to recommend highly enough, both related to the ongoing crisis of refugees from Sudan. What Is the What is the “fictionalized” autobiography of one of the lost boys of Sudan, Valentino Achak Deng; and the Darfur Diaries is a powerful collection of individual stories from refugees fleeing the Darfur area of Sudan in late 2004.

Also related to Todd the Rod, we have Starlight Tour: The Last, Lonely Night of Neil Stonechild, which is the story that inspired the song Bringer of Greater Things from Propagandhi’s Potemkin City Limits album.

Lastly, a book that makes the case for not believing in a big guy who lives above the clouds with a big, white beard, who creating the entire universe and controls our lives through magic. It’s called The God Delusion. Good for boning up (pun intended) against the creationists!
